Free-To-Air Guide
A guide to watching British satellite TV channels

Start receiving British TV and radio channels free-to-air on satellite, meaning no subscriptions or contracts, and freedom to take your equipment around Europe.

An extensive free line-up includes the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five domestic channels, plus digital only services. BBC HD is also available on all our HDTV satellite receivers.

Watch blockbuster movies on Film Four, the best UK and US entertainment premieres on E4 and More 4, 24 hour news from Sky News, Al Jazeera, Euronews, Bloomberg, CNBC and CNN, a vast number of music channels, and radio stations.

Never again miss Coronation Street because you can't get a terrestrial signal. Keep in touch with events back home - with regional ITV and BBC channels included. If you miss a programme.. many broadcasters carry 1 hour delay channels, so you can lay that extra hour on the beach!

All you need to start watching free-to-air British satellite channels is a digital satellite set-top box - or HDTV receiver for high-definition and digital services, and a satellite dish pack.

Freesat Vs non-Freesat
A Freesat digital or digital/HDTV box can be used as a receiver. These are boxes with added 'Freesat' functionality of an 8 day EPG, digital teletext, and Freesat HDTV boxes also include the ITV HD channel. Non-Freesat boxes are a more affordable alternative, and are flexiable for multi-satellite use (eg adding non-UK satellite positions).

Your dish size requirement will vary - dependent on the location you wish to use your equipment.

Installation
We do not offer installation. However, you will find installation equipment in our Dish Installation section, and alignment angles are available from our website. If you require professional installation, most satellite/aerial installation companies will be familiar with the equipment we sell. For customers in the UK and Gibraltar, we recommend calling a CAI registered installer.
