Receiver
Unit of equipment used to process the signals incoming from the LNB so that they can be displayed by the TV set.

Reflector/dish
Component of the parabolic antenna; serves to concentrate the incoming signal at the focal point.

Resistance
Unit of electrical measure, expressed in Ohm, relating to the connection of signals of different type. Two pieces of equipment connected to each other must have the same input and output resistance. The connecting cable too, must have the same resistance. For instance, in order to connect an antenna to a receiver, one uses a cable with a resistance of 75 Ohm, since this is the same resistance value as that of the antenna output and of the receiver input.
